When i was little i was always afraid of circus people.. I thought they were some kind of monsters, really strange and unreachable. However, after growing up and being extremely lucky to work on a couple of projects with them, i had the chance to find out that they are a really special and talented race, worth to be explored. Since then, i've been reading and searsching a lot about circus people and one of my latest findings is this lovely book by Noel Daniel titled the Circus Book: 1870-1950 reporting everything about these incredible artists during these eras. Rare illusrtations and photos feature odd clowns or dazzling showgirls and aerialists with the most fancy costumes and make-up in amazing locations. A beautiful, inspiring and collectable piece.
