The new S/S 2012 collection by Spanish designer duo Cardona Bonache is called Lesson 5 " Prints" , featuring dazzling, surrealistic paper-craft prints on silk and lace in candy colours and structured patterns.
Jonny Johansson, Head Designer of Acne, drew inspiration from his trip to Marrakesh for the swedish label's S/S 2012 collection. Using the Moroccan exotic influences in combinaton with urban style, Johansson created a unique, funky and really modern collection with bright colours and boxy sillhouettes managing to capture many different styles on denim, double silk and raw edged double cotton creating a multicultural vibe.
The extravagant show took place at the disused space of London's Old Sorting Office, with a parade of thirty three models along a 50 meter long mirrored catwalk, with 500 guests.

Fresh, bright, with a really clever combination of colours and materials it was a joyful parade of bold-patterned pieces, styled with beautiful africa - meets - techno jewellery, sleek hair and sexy make-up.

The amazing 308 pages book features nine of the most exceptional private costume parties of the twentieth century from the Romanov dynasty, to the Art Deco era of Paris and the glam seventies, through over 250 illustrations, with social commentary by and for great personalities like Truman Capote, Paul Poiret, and Cecil Beaton, also memory notes by Jacqueline de Ribes, Helene David – Weill and Marisa Berenson.
