Tokujin Yoshioka : Waterfall

The Sherman Contemporary Art Foundation in Sydney is currently hosting a first major solo exhibition of Japanese artist Tokujin Yoshioka, particularly his amazing installation titled Waterfall, created by 300.000 clear plastic straws. Yoshioka has an impressive bio, with a collaboration with Shiro Kuramata and Issey Miyake, commisions by Hermes, Toyota, BMW and Swarovski and participations in major exhibitions at the Museum of Modern Art in New York and the Victoria & Albert Museum in London. The exhibition will last by December 17th, 2011.

Below you can enjoy a very interesting short documentary of the making of Waterfall:

Anna - Sophie Berger

Anna-Sophie Berger is a fashion designer and photographer from Austria currently studying in the University of Applied Arts of Vienna. Although very young, Anna-Sophie has already produced several collections, counts many participations in major fashion exhibitions, has received two awards and has worked with big fashion industry names with Veronique Branquinho and Bernard Willhelm among them.
Her design style is based on geometry with 3-d  patterns, using natural materials like casmere, silk and wool. Her latest collection is called M/M2 and is inspired by the paintings of constructivistic artist Kazimir Malevich featuring multi-dimensional hand printed garments based on the square form.
