Kayvon Zand

Kayvon Zand is an Electro-Pop singer known for his controversial performances. Born in the USA from Iranian parents, Kayvon started playing music at the age of six. His work is much inspired by the London underground scene where he lived for a couple of years before returning to America to start his career. His gothic style is characterized by fetish gear, grotesque details, exaggerated make-up and the most impressive headpieces you may have seen lately. In 2010 he caused a real media frenzy when banned from the Highline Ballroom in New York due to his orgy-like performance, very similar to his provocative video So Gone.

You can have a look at his work below.

Taro Horiuchi F/W 2011-12 Collection

Being a huge fan of Japanese fashion i try to keep up with the latest creative updates from this amazing country. Taro Horiuchi's winter collection is all about clean lines and shapes in basic colours, with boyish shirts and pants, skirts and dresses with medium or long hemlines and beautiful jackets and capes, many of them decorated with huge fur detailing. The collection is accompanied by this excellent video, one of the best i've seen lately, with a concept based on fluid shapes and chill-out music.

For the full collection look book you can visit the designer's web site here

Sarah Vo

In the case of photographer Sarah Vo, everything is going nostalgic and dreamy. The young London-based artist, with the Vietnamese background is getting inspired by nature and her family's cultural heritage, featuring ethereal portraits of mermaids and fairies with a 70's aesthetic.

Sarah works with 35 mm film and Polaroid cameras, plays with light, reflections and colours giving her shots an almost painting effect, in beautiful locations like rivers and forests.

Her portfolio also includes excellent documentary photography of portraits, Buddhist rituals and Vietnamese lifestyle. Enjoy her full work in the following links:
