The Popovy Sisters

Twin sisters Elena and Ekaterina Popovy are from Russia and have a unique, magical talent in the art of doll-making. Their extravagant creations are a deep dive into human anatomy and history with conceptual elements and amazing stylization. The two girls experiment with various materials like china, paperclay, fumo and plastic giving their dolls realistic gestures and almost human characteristics, transforming them into real pieces of art. The Popovy dolls have been awarded at the 3rd International Salon in Moscow and were recently exhibited at the Strychnin Gallery in Berlin.

Azzaro Vernissage

 During the hot Parisian Fashion Week, Azzaro hosted a dazzling coctail vernissage at the Jeu de Paume Museum to celebrate the launch of the Loris Azzaro book by Assouline featuring rare creations and images from the archives of the legendary designer. Mathilde Castello Branco,  Lou Lesage, Michelle Harper, Maxime Simoens, Jéromine Savignon, Fabrice Leonard, Jean-Louis Scherrer, Romain Azzaro, Florian Denicourt and Yaz Bukey were among the guests.

I'm the Night by Culttastic

The third Photoquai Biennial is currently taking place at Le Musee de quai Branly and eleven partner galleries and institutions in Paris, showcasing the works of 46 photographers from 29 countries. I do not have to make any comment, the amazing images speak for themselves.

Shiatzy Chen S/S 2012 Collection

Shiatzy Chen drew inspiration from the chinese snuff bottles of the 17^th century, famous for their bright colours, floral patterns and calligraphy designs. Mixing Chinese craftsmanship with the Western style, especially its 60’s icons, like Audrey Hepburn and Jacqueline Kennedy, Shiatzy created a really special collection for the contemporary woman with vintage and exotic references. The collection is based on geometric silhouettes and elegant three-quarter suits, girly dresses and hot bodysuits in retro-neon colours, Chinese blue, porcelain white and red of the Qing Dyansty lacquerware. The material selection is as luxurious as the style: transluscent glossy organza, satin and flower-print jacquard embroidered with pearls, corals and swarovski crystals. Excellent, beautiful, chic.
