Marie Zucker
"It starts with bloodshed, always bloodshed, always the same running from something larger than yourself."
That's the introduction text in photographer Marie Zucker's website, describing the best way her dark, ethereal, sensual work. The young Berlin-based artist started photography a couple of years ago, after her boyfriend gave her a package of film for her SX70.
With a slightly antique and seductive feeling, every single picture of her portfolio tells a little story. All her models and locations are so correctly chosen, giving you the impression that this image had always been there..
There's already been a buzz around Marie Zucker's name, with samples of her work been featured in high fashion websites like swedish Elle, Cosmopolitan and recently in Vogue Italia with dithyrambic reviews. A new hot talent is born...

Lighthouse
New Villager is an art collective from Brooklyn that blends music, painting, animation, photography and installations in its special projects. Their following video titled Lighthouse is a representative sample of their work, with a very creative concept, as it features the most astonishing costumes made by multicoloured recycled materials, like ribbon strips, dusters, bottles or plastic bags. Reminds me a lot of Buddhist epic heroes images.
