Marcela Gutierrez

Artist and designer Marcela Gutierrez is the person behind the recent Prada's flagship stores illustrated windows in Los Angeles and New York. Born in Florida, raised in Guatemala, currently living and working in Barcelona and New York, Marcela has a high educational level in Fashion Design, Graphic Design and Architecture and has collaborated with high-fashion names like Marc Jacobs, Luisa Beccaria, Alexander McQueen and John Galliano. Her work is obviously inspired by everything that has to do with fashion, from editorials to campaigns, using bright colours and fluid silhouettes and has been widely exhibited. Apart from her collaboration with Prada, her client list counts several great brands like Swarovski, Carolina Herrera New York, Fendi, Loewe, Oysho, Pull & Bear and glossy editions like Harper's Bazaar and Metal magazine.

Garland Coo

Fashion designer Jasmin Isabel Eckerle and artist Marcel Singer, the amazing duo behind avant-garde fashion label Garland Coo draw inspiration by their South German cultural heritage and their native Black Forest landscape to create some of the best fashion collections, artistic projects and films in the current European alternative fashion scene. Their new menswear collection features neo-pagan characteristics and bondage schemes for metropolitan warriors in a wide selection of handmade oversized capes, jackets and trousers with sophisticated patterns and rich pleats, made of tough fabrics like shag, loden, handdyed cotton and leather along with linen, batiste and wool in total black. When nature and tradition are involved with huge talent, the result is guaranteed to be succesful.

Tokujin Yoshioka : Waterfall

 The Sherman Contemporary Art Foundation in Sydney is currently hosting a first major solo exhibition of Japanese artist Tokujin Yoshioka, particularly his amazing installation titled Waterfall, created by 300.000 clear plastic straws. Yoshioka has an impressive bio, with a collaboration with Shiro Kuramata and Issey Miyake, commisions by Hermes, Toyota, BMW and Swarovski and participations in major exhibitions at the Museum of Modern Art in New York and the Victoria & Albert Museum in London. The exhibition will last by December 17th, 2011.

Anna - Sophie Berger

 Anna-Sophie Berger is a fashion designer and photographer from Austria currently studying in the University of Applied Arts of Vienna. Although very young, Anna-Sophie has already produced several collections, counts many participations in major fashion exhibitions, has received two awards and has worked with big fashion industry names with Veronique Branquinho and Bernard Willhelm among them.
Her design style is based on geometry with 3-d  patterns, using natural materials like casmere, silk and wool. Her latest collection is called M/M2 and is inspired by the paintings of constructivistic artist Kazimir Malevich featuring multi-dimensional hand printed garments based on the square form. The Game of Things by Christian Straub

“As I stared up into the bright blue sky that was near
the end of what felt like a trillion years, I was
visited by a horrible sense of claustrophobia. A
claustrophobia that sets in only when no space is great
enough to contain you. Cause you have all this stuff
inside you that refuses to leave. All those useless
stupid things from the past.”

The introductory monologue of Christan Straub's new film takes us into a bizarre visual journey in the life of a lost, desperate woman who tries to get rid of her painful past. While a mysterious stranger appears, everything looks that may not lead to a happy ending. Christian Straub draws inspiration from the late 60's and early 70's movies, featuring burnt colours, dramatic heroes and the latest amazing collection of German fashion label Ethel Vaughn.

Olga Noronha

I'm sure that most of you despise anything that has to do with medical tools or ortho-prosthetic garments, however i strongly believe that avant-garde jewellery designer Olga Noronha will change your mind. Her latest project is titled Rejection/Attraction, aiming to turn our natural distasteful intention to anything medical to a desirable situation. Olga's designs are a trip into the doctor's medicine bag from which needles or orthopedic devices become precious jewellery pieces made of gold and precious stones and extravagant body accessories that compliment every ambitious fashion wardrobe. Peter Lindberg at FoMu

FoMu museum in Antwerp presents an exciting exhibition dedicated to the work of Peter Lindberg, one of the most influential photographers of our time. The exhibition includes two series, the first is Berlin, a selection of photos made in the German capital city the last twenty years and the second is a special selection by curator, critic and professor Klaus Honnef, featuring rare street images, portraits, performance and fashion photos revealing different and perhaps unknown aspects of Peter Lindberg. The internationally acclaimed artist who is considered more than just a fashion photographer has captured through his lens some of the greatest supermodels like Kate Moss, Tatianna Patitz and  Linda Evangelista, along with hundreds other great personas,marking 25 years of a remarkable carreer in the art of photography.

The exhibition is complimented by two more sections, one dedicated to the recently deceased photographer Frank Philippi with a special selection of his post - war Belgium images and one for leading New-York magazine Visionaire.
